Post University Brings Santa Back to Downtown Waterbury

For the first three weekends in December, Post University transformed the lobby of its Bank Street center into Santa’s playhouse – with several hundred local citizens taking in the holiday experience.

Inspired by Christmas events of the past that were held in the Howland-Hughes Department Store – now the home of the Post University Online Education Hub – the weekend extravaganzas featured a window display from the original Howland-Hughes, costumed performers from Shakesperience, the Post University “Wishing Wall,” holiday treats and cookies from Sweet Maria’s (owned by Post University alum Maria Sanchez), and meet-and-greet selfies with Santa.

The Post Downtown location also served as a collection location for the Connecticut State Trooper “Stuff a Cruiser” Holiday Toy Drive, with support from the Waterbury Police Department and Waterbury PAL.
