The Yale Helix Group is a University-founded, student-run incubator for Connecticut physicians to co-found healthcare startups. WORX President Grant Copeland and Vice President Alyssa Altman were speakers on Sales & Marketing for Startups, discussing the experience of WORX in the healthcare and startup space, as well as leading a collaborative discussion around how to position a healthcare brand for long-term success.
Five student groups within the Helix incubator are each in the process of addressing healthcare’s most complex issues – from opioid response mechanisms to customized nutrition deliveries – by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, data analysis and technology.
iHaven, an undergraduate group of entrepreneurial students from partner institutions Gateway Community College, University of New Haven, Southern Connecticut State University, Quinnipiac University and Albertus Magnus College, also attended the event.
The discussion was held at the Health Haven Hub office in New Haven, the health-tech incubator that opened in 2018.
Both Copeland and Altman have been keynote guest speakers at a variety of branding, digital marketing and business events over the last few years – from state healthcare associations to Google summits.
